Service road works nearing completion at Four Roads Junction in Salem

The construction works to lay a service road at the Four Roads Junction here are nearing completion.

The State Highways department began the works to lay the service road between the Four Roads Junction and New Bus stand that was part of the two-tier flyover connecting major junctions in the city. Though the flyover works got over almost a year ago, the service road works got delayed owing to land acquisition issues.

According to officials, a temple had to be removed to facilitate the construction. The works were started after an amicable solution was arrived at regarding shifting the temple. The officials said drainage works had been almost completed for the stretch and road laying works were expected to be completed in two days.
